Effective deer season 2017, all harvested deer in South Carolina are required to be tagged at the point of kill.
Commonly called the "Deer Management Bill", passage of S.454 in June 2016 was the culmination of a multi-year effort on the part of SC deer hunters, SCDNR, and the SC General Assembly.
